Technip Press release
Mountain View, CA - January 18, 2010 - Technip Selects and Implements Ivalua Buyer to Recast its e-Sourcing Tool, Realizes Multi-Functional Benefits from a Single Tool
Ivalua, a leading provider of spend management solutions, today announced that Technip, a global leader in engineering and infrastructure construction for the oil & gas industry, has implemented Ivalua’s leading procurement and sourcing solution Ivalua Buyer.
With annual volume in excess of $4.4B USD, Technip needed a solution that was more intuitive, had a user-friendly interface requiring little training, was adaptable and customizable and that would extend the functionalities of Technip’s internal solution EPC Business Successor at a reasonable price.
“With the global deployment of EPC Business, Technip offers its subsidiaries the possibility to work with the entirety of the Group’s suppliers. Ivalua Buyer is key to the implementation of the Group’s buying strategy,” said Gilles Demerliac, Vice President, Global Procurement.
“Buyer and the Ivalua team provided an immediate and positive impact to how our group of more than 1000 project team members manage sourcing, procurement, supply base management, auditing and transportation oversight responsibilities for our global organization, said Renaud Perriguey, Director of e-Purchasing Information Systems for Technip. “The ongoing result has been significantly increased customer and user satisfaction and revenues. We look forward to a long and continually rewarding relationship with Ivalua.”
With more than 23,000 employees around the world, integrated capacity and recognized expertise in subsea operations (offshore platforms and large onshore processing units), Ivalua Buyer is helping ensure that Technip maintains its leadership position as a key contributor in the development of sustainable solutions to the challenges of the energy sector in the 21st century.
“Working with a global leader and project scope such as what we are doing with Technip, Ivalua Buyer is able to fully spread its wings, employ all its capabilities and deliver the highest possible return for the Technip organization,” said Philippe Levy, CEO for Ivalua U.S. “We are proud to be associated with such a successful and respected leader like Technip.”
