Ivalua Buyer US Launch
Mountain View, Ca. – December 14, 2009 - Ivalua Announces Innovative Procurement Solution - Ivalua Buyer
Ivalua, a leading provider of durable procurement solutions, today announced Ivalua Buyer, a new-generation integrated purchasing solution that enables the purchasing value chain to be managed in a collaborative and effective manner. Ivalua Buyer provides users the ability to subscribe to external content, related to supplier risk or sustainable development for example, and organize this data in an intuitive, “drag-and-drop” way. Each user can design their own personalized dashboards and define the key business metrics that will appear on their dashboard in an easy-to-use graphical interface.
“Buyer is the only real-time procurement solution truly capable of completely managing the complex business processes faced by companies navigating the vast buyer-supplier service arena,” says Philippe Levy, President and CEO of Ivalua, Inc. “We have developed our innovative solution by listening to our customers, and leveraging decades of combined experience with the processes and data of complex procurement operations. We are giving our customers the capability to see the performance of the network in one summary view, and then to drill into details, analyze potential issues, and enable them to take the appropriate actions.”
“Globalization and competitive pressures are forcing leading companies to differentiate themselves not only on product and service strengths, but also on the efficient and competitive sourcing of equipments and services,’’ said Daniel Royer, Purchasing Manager for CGGVeritas. “Therefore we need technology platforms that can improve the sourcing worldwide through an easy access to purchasing related information. Ivalua has solid experience with these kinds of product and service deployments and provides its services worldwide, and was therefore selected by CGGVeritas to develop its Purchasing portal.”
Buyer has a rich feature set covering Spend Analysis, Sourcing (including RFQ management, reverse auctions, etc.), Procure-to-Pay (including product catalogs, PO management, e-invoicing, expense report modules, etc.), and SRM (including supplier risk mgt, supplier evaluation). One of the technologies included in the core platform is “SCAN™” (Single-point Content Access and Notification), which is a content access and management technology, where users can subscribe to syndicated research for free or for a fee.
Compared to some of the larger providers in the market, Ivalua is far more nimble and flexible in providing the ability for clients to develop unique solutions that really stick to the individual customers’ needs – not-to-mention, the Ivalua solution suite is much more affordable.
Ivalua strongly favors partnerships, both upstream (sourcing/procurement consulting) and downstream (integration services), and works closely with its network of services partners in North America. Its positioning is clear: zero conflict with the partner base. For example, Ivalua does not offer consulting services to avoid competing with its partners and offering them extensive business opportunities around its solutions. In addition, the company offers referral fees to its consulting partners on deals they introduce to the firm, with a lucrative commission on the entirety of the customer contract, over multiple years.
In addition to CGGVeritas, other notable companies using Ivalua solutions include Total, Technip, Areva, Faurecia, Sodexo, ArcelorMittal, Sanofi-Aventis and Club Med.
