Spend Analysis

  • Collect, analyze and synthesize purchasing data from heterogeneous information systems
  • Cleanse and homogenize data from different systems
  • Grow and share visibility of purchasing distribution

Precision mapping of expenses is a fundamental need for any purchasing department, however it often runs into major obstacles.
How to periodically collect heterogeneous spending data stored in different systems, within different repositories? How to analyze the data along different dimensions and sort it easily?

The Spend Analysis module of Ivalua Buyer was designed to provide an efficient end-to-end solution to this problem.Upstream, a powerful data gathering tool allows the mass retrieval of purchasing data from all existing sources (ERP, other information systems, Excel files, etc.). Then the data passes through a “cleaning chamber” to identify anomalies and facilitate their treatment using built-in algorithms.

This cleansing system has the advantage of being auto-learning, which means that corrected anomalies will not reappear during future data imports; time savings on typically processor-heavy data cleansing tasks is considerable.

Finally, once the data is cleansed and homogenized, it is available for real-time multidimensional analysis or for custom report creation.

Import and treatment of data
  • Data import tool, capable of loading files from multiple sources in multiple formats (ERP, Other IS, Excel files…)
  • Transcoding function from multiple, heterogeneous repositories
  • Auto-learning anomalies correction algorithm
  • Analytical functions available at the beginning of the cleansing process, allowing comparison with previous data
  • Workflow-based validation process to publish  cleansed data
  • Retroactive cleansing function for previously imported data
Analyses and Reports
  • Multidimensional graphic analyzer with a consolidation and drill-down function
  • Creation and protection of general and personalized multi-indicator analyses
  • Exports to Excel and Word
