We are thrilled to have The Hackett Group host our first webinar in 2017, and what better way to kick off the year than by covering key procurement objectives.
Each year, The Hackett Group surveys executives from a diverse set of businesses and viewpoints to identify major issues and trends shaping the procurement executive agenda. As a proud resource of spend management for global brands, we continuously key in on developing priorities and partner with major research groups like Hackett to identify trends that will have the greatest impact on procurement’s performance.
Webinar Highlights: 2017 Procurement Key Issues Study
As a global leader in operation improvement strategies, Hackett offers a unique perspective and fact-based insights from their many performance improvement consulting engagements. For the 2017 Key Issues Study, Hackett sought to understand broader business context, top-of-mind issues and the priorities of the procurement agenda.
The survey found that procurement is gearing to prioritize:
- Reduction/avoiding purchase costs
- Improve procurement’s business agility
- Elevate the role of procurement as a trusted advisor
- Expand purchasing’s scope and influence
- Deepen influence on complex indirect spend categories
Among important priorities, the webinar also covered the highest change of importance compared to the previous year’s results; for instance, supporting the enterprise’s digital transformation and obtaining more value from procure-to-pay remained in the top 5 priorities found by The Hackett Group.
If you are interested in digital transformation for procurement, I cannot stress enough how helpful you will find our joint webinar. The big buzz word this year is “future-proofing procurement” and Hackett’s take on what this means for procurement organizations is incredibly well-defined. Digital transformation sounds extremely sexy but it is a commitment that requires a solid framework to succeed.
This is where Ivalua succeeds. We enable CPOs to focus on realizing broader value beyond savings. We help customers reduce spend and operating costs, simplify processes through automation, drive innovation and improve visibility/compliance. In the webinar, Hackett’s Amy Fong reviews Hackett’s study results and Digital Procurement framework while Ivalua’s Head of Marketing, Gary Malhotra, cover how procurement teams from leading companies have benefited from using Ivalua’s spend management platform.
