Jorge and his team work with the Google data center platforms engineering teams selecting memory and processor technology and suppliers. He manages the memory and processor supply chain, including supplier selection, negotiation of business and other terms, and management of quality, cost, and supply.

Jorge began his career in the Hewlett-Packard printer business, and later moved to the PC business where he led supplier management for desktop PCs. He has also spent time at various startups and at Cisco, where he led global supplier management for memory and processors. Prior to joining Google, Jorge spent five years with Amazon-Lab126, in both procurement and engineering roles.

Jorge holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford, as well as an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
